Spider sense tingling - using AI

Web Testing with AI

When I planned this webinar, I thought it would be like the “API testing with AI“, only for web. But as it happened it turned out to be a lot different. “Web Testing with AI” is more about the struggle of working with AI.

My web sense should have started tingling.

Now, it could be the state of AI today, or the model I chose. But that’s just part of the problem. The main issues are trust and quality. Having trust in the code and tests generated by our genie, and the quality of code and tests we are willing to live with.

My main conclusion is we should have both, we need to not only have our skills at the level we have today – understanding how browsers work, how frameworks like Playwright or Selenium work, using other tools – and general testing skills. We don’t just need to know all these, we need to know a lot more.

Otherwise, we won’t trust the genie, and subsequently, lose confidence in the quality of the code and our product.

I show a lot of things you can (eventually) do with AI, and can save you (hopefully) a lot of time. Eventually.

Here’s the recording. If you’re interested in some Playwright goodness, check out my “Web Testing with Playwright” workshop.
